What you send us
Your name, your email, the family details you write in the request form, whether you have DNA results, and anything you type into the Lived Through or Research Planner tools.
Who sees it
Only Stephanie, the researcher who runs Provenance.
What we never do
We never sell your information. We never rent it, trade it, or share it with marketers, DNA companies, or other researchers.
How it reaches us
A few services carry your information to us and do nothing else with it. The request form and newsletter signup are delivered to our inbox by FormSubmit. Our email is hosted by Proton. Text you type into the free tools is sent to an AI model through Lovable's AI gateway to create your result, and we do not save it. The Facebook feed on the homepage is loaded from Facebook.
DNA
We never ask for your raw DNA file. If you share DNA match details, they are used only for your research.
Email list
If you subscribe, your email is used for one email a month. Unsubscribe any time.
Deleting your information
Email provenance_ancestry@proton.me and we will delete your request and research files.
